Programme : State Level Nature Photography Competition on 9th & 10th December, 2008

Organised by : Nature Club, Media Partner : Loksatta

Participant : Total 510 entries from 104 participants . Some of the participants were from Jaipur, Bangalore and Kutch (app. 30) . Since the number is too less as compared to the total number of entries, we chose to call it State level competition.

Programme : Save Tiger Campeign

Organised by : Nature Club in association with SPROUTS (an NGO)

Purpose : To save our National Animal through Signature campaign. This is to judge the degree of awareness and concern for our national animal  tiger  the population of which is dwindling day by day. In turn the whole ecosystem is affected by it. The signatures obtained will be sent to the Prime Minister of India for his consideration.

Programme : Rescue of injured Indian Pitta from College campus


Rescued by : Mr. Ashish Chaurasiya (SYBSc) and Vikrant Pednekar (FYBSc)

Injured Indian Pitta rescued & kept for further treatment in cage . Later on it is taken to SPCA hospital where it died after a few days due to head injury
